ABOUT US
The Satin Pothos was an idea for many years. Something we wanted to get just right, the plants, the packaging, the experience. We are excited to finally be in the retail space and getting to interact with you.

Now, why plants? And why as gifts?

Our team is constructed of horticulturists, plant hobbyists, homemakers, and entrepreneurs. We know the peace and life that plants bring to a space. We know the health benefits and the beauty of slowing down long enough to care for something outside of yourself. Most notably, we know the importance of connection and how receiving and sending gifts can build stronger relationships. And who are we kidding, who would we be without our own frequent purchases to add to our plant collections?

We are loving the opportunity to be a part of your everyday life and the chance to bring joy into your home and office spaces.

Our promise to you is to provide hardy plants, aesthetically pleasing accessories, and easy to understand care guides. All packaged up and carefully sent directly to your door or the porch of someone you want to share the love of houseplants with.

Thank you for being here and choosing The Satin Pothos.

Huge Congratulations to our very own Tanner and Erika Mitchell!
Their most recent accomplishment has been the release of Tanner's book, For the Love of Houseplants. As of April 14th, 2026 you can find it anywhere that new books are sold or by clicking the link below.

We are thrilled to offer you the huge catalog of videos and information Tanner and Erika have produced and continue to put out daily. From instructions on how to deal with pests, to watering tips, and everything in between. This book is the perfect addition alongside any plant from our inventory. New greenery and a book full of ways to care for it, a win win!
Lighting Lessons 101
We measure plant light using foot candles, but what really matters is how much light a plant gets over a full day-- called the Daily Light Integral (DLI). Think of it like calories for humans: we need a certain amount of food each day to stay healthy, and plants need a certain amount of light. When they don't get enough, they weaken, stretch, and become more prone to pests and disease.
